The Department of Social Welfare in Zambia, under the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, provides crucial social protection by supporting vulnerable individuals (like orphans, the elderly, disabled, and those in poverty) through services such as social cash transfersprobationadoption, foster care, and tackling issues like human trafficking and gender-based violence (GBV).
